Act! Speak! Build! Week 2016
Day 1: Acting as an advocate
Act! Speak! Build is a youth program in which it's participants learn about the need for affordable housing not just in their community, but world wide! For Habitat's Act! Speak! Build! Barron County Habitat partnered with the Riverview Middle School Boys and Girls Club in Barron, WI. Their participation in this program is extra special because they are the only children taking part in this program in northern Wisconsin! Prior to this event, the children learned about Barron County Habitat and advocacy.
The posters displayed information about Habitat and the need for affordable housing worldwide! For example: 1.6 Billion people are live in inadequate shelter world wide!
